Legacy Appraisals & Estate Sales, LLC is committed to providing you with estate sale, appraisal, & inventory services designed to meet your needs. We are equally committed to respecting your privacy and protecting the information about you that we may receive. I have prepared this notice to advise you what information I collect, how it is used, and how it is protected.
What information I collect:
As an essential part of my business, I obtain certain personal information in order to comply with all business requirements. This includes but is not limited to liability insurance coverage and tax reporting or IRS requirements. The type of information I receive may be addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, social security numbers, tax payer numbers, and tax payer exemption certificates, client information if you are a third party provider, personal home owner’s liability coverage, and other tax reporting numbers.
What information I disclose:
I nor my staff do not disclose any personal information about our clients (current or former), our customers, or any third party clients except when ordered to do so by a state or federal court of law. All my employees must sign agreements not to divulge any information about the estate or its contents unless ordered to do so by a state or federal court of law.
Privacy protection procedures:
I protect information about you from unauthorized access. My employees receive training regarding our privacy policies and access to information about you is restricted to those individuals (attorneys or certified public accountants, state comptrollers, etc.) that require such information in order to provide services to you or for our company. I have established and maintain procedures to comply with all state and federal laws and regulations and also the regulations and ethics codes of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and Uniform Standards of Property Appraising Practice (USPAP) which is “authorized by Congress as the Source of Appraisal Standards and Appraiser Qualifications".
